Pre and Post Care Instructions

Do:  

•        Be patient and wait 4-7 days to see results (best results seen at about 2  weeks)
•        Book a follow up appointment 2 weeks post procedure
•        Avoid rubbing or applying pressure on  injection areas
•        Avoid hot tubs and saunas for 24 hours
•        Avoid laying flat for 4 hours post procedure
•        Avoid extraneous exercise 4 hours post procedure
•        Call us with any concerns 704-538-4544

Don't:  

•            Consume alcohol for 24 hours pre and post procedure 
•            Sleep on treated areas
•            Go into the hot sun for 24 hours

Do:  

•       Ice the area if swelling occurs
•       Use Tylenol for mild pain 
•       Avoid hot tubs and saunas
•       Avoid rubbing or pressing on procedure areas
•       Avoid extraneous exercise for 24 hours
•       Hydrate
•       Expect swelling and bruising
•       Call us with any concerns 704-538-4544

Don't:      

•           Lay on the effected area
•           Smoke for 12 hours
•           Consume alcohol for 24 hours pre and post
•           Apply makeup for 24 hours
•           Lay in the sun for 24 hours

Pre-Treatment: 

•  No use of Acutane within 6 months
• Avoid retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, sun, and benzoyl peroxide
• No laser procedures 7 days prior
• No waxing or electrolysis 7 days prior
• Make sure your skin is clean, without lotion, oil, makeup, powder, or sunscreen on day of treatment

Day of Treatment and days after:

• Avoid sun or use SPF 30
• Avoid direct sun exposure for 10 days
• Redness and sensitivity may occur and last up to a few days
• Peeling may start 3-5 days post
• Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours post
• Treat skin gently with gentle cleanser, cool water, using clean hands and pat dry
• Please wait 7 days to use heavy makeups with alcohol or perfumes
• Resume regular skincare routine 48hours post and retinoids may continue 72 hours post
• Repeat treatment every four weeks for best results 4-6 weeks apart.
