Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is an advanced regenerative treatment designed to support the skin’s natural repair process following aesthetic procedures. When applied as an add-on to select treatments, PDGF helps stimulate cellular renewal, collagen activity, and tissue recovery — promoting healthier, more resilient skin during the healing phase.
PDGF works by signaling skin cells involved in repair and regeneration, which may help improve overall treatment outcomes and support smoother recovery following procedures such as microneedling, resurfacing, and other skin-stimulating treatments.
What to Expect During Healing
Because PDGF actively influences the skin’s repair response, healing experiences may vary between individuals. While many patients heal within typical recovery timelines, some may experience prolonged redness, pinpoint marks, swelling, or visible post-treatment inflammation lasting longer than expected.
In certain cases, these healing responses may persist for 2–6 weeks, and occasionally longer depending on skin sensitivity, treatment depth, and individual inflammatory response. These effects generally improve gradually as the skin completes its regenerative cycle.

Important Considerations
PDGF is an optional regenerative add-on and may not be appropriate for every patient or treatment. Individual healing responses cannot be predicted, and results vary based on skin biology, medical history, and procedure intensity.
Post Treatment
• Expect skin to feel red, hot and mildly swollen for the first few days. It will feel like sunburn, but the
intensity of the heat settles after a few hours. If intense swelling occurs contact us and apply a cool pack. The eyelids may swell- this is normal.
• Stop your normal skin care routine while your skin is recovering post Tixel.
In this time, use bland products only with minimal scent and nothing active.
• Small areas of microcrust or pigmentation may appear. If the skin is dry, moisturise the skin but DO
NOT rub or peel it off, otherwise you may get an infection or cause post procedure redness which
can last a few months.
Post Tixel Skin Routine:
• For the first 4 days: wash your face 2 a day with a bland cleanser, apply a moisturizer 4 x a day
and sunscreen.
• You may apply a clean mineral makeup after 24 hours. Use a clean fresh pillowcase
